Pre-fitting Testing Procedure1. Listen for...- Rattles and clonks during enginie start up or turn off. 2. Check the clutch for...- Driven plate damage 3. With the flywheel still fitted...Rotate the inner mass by hand anticlockwise and mark the flywheel then rotate it clockwise and measure the travel. REPLACE if the movement is:
- Less than15mm or - More than 30mm 4. Check the bearing play...Rock the inner mass from side to side. REPLACE if movement is:
- More than 2mm for passenge - More than 4mm for light side to side Do you have the correct part?- Does the driven plate have the correct number of spline? - Try it on the input shaft first. It should slide smoothly up and down the splines. - Do the other parts look the same as the old unit? - Do NOT use copper grease. Concentric Slave Clinder (CSC) fitted?These always need to be replaced at the same time as teh clutch. Once replaced they should not be pressure bled.
