Denso Spark Plugs

DENSO makes the benefits of OE quality available to the aftermarket. From a complete and fast moving range of automotive applications to the high performance Iridium Power and Racing series DENSO offers a wide range of high quality spark plugs for almost any application. Guaranteeing optimum engine performance, we produce spark plugs for automotive, motorcycle, marine and small engines.

Since 1959 has set the standard for spark plug technology. DENSO factories are QS 9000 and ISO 9000 certified worldwide. This is one more reason why zero defects for parts produced by DENSO are realities.

Denso spark plugs are fitted as original equipment by among others Cadillac, Chevrolet, Daihatsu, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kawasaki, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Rotax, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Voxan and Yamaha.

Standard Range

One of the most important features of most of our spark plugs is the U-groove ground electrode. DENSO's patented U-groove spark plugs enable complete combustion by allowing the spark to fill the gap created by the 'U' shape. The ball of fire created in the U-groove develops a larger and hotter flame front that virtually eliminates excessive fouling and erratic starts by poor fuel mixtures. The U-groove is located on the ground electrode because this is the place that is least affected by wear. Thus we ensure that the benefits of the U-groove last the entire lifetime of the spark plug.

Performance

DENSO’s patented iridium alloy is extremely tough and wear-resistant. This makes it possible to produce a spark plug with a centre electrode of just 0.4 mm. Our Iridium Power spark plug gives a stronger spark and better ignition performance in all areas of driving. These plugs can withstand even the most severe conditions and have proven themselves in original equipment and racing. This product gives DENSO the leading position in iridium spark plug technology.<p>To meet the needs of high-powered engines and high performance riding conditions DENSO has designed the ZU Platinum spark plug, which is available in wide range of types. These spark plugs offer a powerful alternative for normal applications, a thin 0.7 mm diameter platinum electrode and taper cut U-grooved ground, giving a stronger spark, easier start, improved acceleration and improved combustion efficiency - Longlife spark plugs.

DOUBLE PLATINUM

Many of today's cars use DENSO platinum Long Life spark plugs. DENSO pioneered the use of platinum in spark plug manufacturing. To maximize the longevity and enhance the durability of the spark plug, DENSO applied platinum to both the centre and ground electrodes. Platinum's superior resistance to erosion and corrosion enables DENSO to create a spark plug capable of consistent, extended operation in excess of 100,000 kilometres.

IRIDIUM

For the future, the iridium Long Life spark plugs will become more popular. The patented DENSO Iridium-Rhodium alloy is 6x harder and 8x stronger than platinum. The thin Iridium is made of an alloy with a very high melting point. Therefore, ordinary resistance welding cannot be used because the Iridium alloy does not melt enough and adequate weld strength cannot be guaranteed. The DENSO patented 360° Laser Welding process employs a high-energy laser so reliable that the electrode resists wear in the worst conditions. As leader in iridium technology, DENSO supplies iridium sparkplugs as original equipment to among others: Daihatsu, Ford, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Rotax, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota.
