Mintex is one of the world leaders in both range and quality when it comes to brake pad friction. Their reputation as a quality Original Equipment supplier is second to none and this is reflected in the Aftermarket range. Mintex manufacture a large range of brake pads, discs and shoes as well as accessories such as brake ducts. The latest in brake technology is the M1144 material is designed for hot hatches for use on the road and track. Mintex is one of the world leaders in both range and quality when it comes to brake pad friction. Their reputation as a quality Original Equipment supplier is second to none and this is reflected in the Aftermarket range. The TMD Friction factory based in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire is state of the art and the technology used to manufacture Mintex brake pads has been developed in-house and is capable of producing the variety of references required to service the World vehicle park. Boasting a range of approximately 1'100 brake pad references covering all European, Japanese and now American applications this flexibility is one of the main strengths of the Mintex brand. All application details can be found within the latest Mintex Pad and Shoe Catalogue. PadsNot only do all manufacturing sites conform to ISO9002 standard but the brake pads themselves have the added guarantee of being either E-Mark or KBA approved. This performance guarantee is in addition to our existing package of No Quibble replacement before 15,000 miles/24,000 km or 1 year which is included in every Mintex red box. Further to our standard Aftermarket materials Mintex produce a range of specialised materials known as C-Tech racing pads. This family of materials has been developed from our involvement in motorsport. The first material M1144 is mainly used for fast road use and is primarily targeted at hot hatch drivers. The other three materials M1155, M1166 and M1177 are specifically for circuit and rally competition use only. All Mintex brake pad boxes are supplied with a bar code label incorporating brief application details, Regulation 90/E-Marking where applicable and the relative brake accessory fitting kit. ShoesThe Mintex Brake Shoe range, like pads, has Original Equipment pedigree. The Aftermarket range of shoes are currently approved to KBA standard and shortly E-Marking will also apply to this product. This is in addition to the guarantee of No Quibble replacement before 15,000 miles/24,000 km or 1 year that is already supplied with every Mintex red box. The current range consists of some 500 references all manufactured to the highest quality specification. Brake BoxTo slow or stop your vehicle, braking systems use the friction caused by forcing together two surfaces - one of which is usually travelling at very high speed. Everyday driving causes these surfaces to wear and friction levels fall, but by simply replacing the brake pads without replacing the discs, your vehicle's braking performance and ability to brake safely will be greatly reduced. Brake Box is a new concept that brings together brake discs and pads specifically engineered using Matched Friction Technology to ensure they will provide the maximum braking force for your vehicle. This means shorter stopping distances in all road conditions and improved safety for you and your passengers. As with all Mintex brake pads, Matched Friction Technology components are both dust-free and squeal-free, plus they wear more evenly than conventional discs and pads, thus extending their life-span and your vehicle's service intervals. The benefits of fitting Brake Box pad and disc setsMatched Friction Technology for improved, consistent braking performance. Shorter stopping distances and safer braking. Dust free, squeal free and long life components for extended service intervals Unique15,000 mile/1 year warranty fully guarantees both pads and discs. Mintex RacingMintex F Series Racing Friction CompositesThe F Series of composites were designed to outperform all existing racing compounds sold on the market today. Driver friendly pedal control and feedback, superior disc finish and long pad life even under the highest temperature applications are attributed engineered into each of the 'F' series compounds. Mintex F1RDesigned from the outset to give uncompromising High Torque with a level of control not found in racing friction sold to date. F1R will allow the highest levels of decleration with an ability to feel and control impending wheel lock up. This broad threshold has allowed braking zones to be extended further into the apex then has ever been previously possible. In addition to the unparalleled degree of feedback, F1R also delivers superior disc conditioning that translates into superior pad life compared with any of our competitors high friction materials. Race Proven in CART, applications should be high downforce, high mechanical grip applications to include CART, LMP, WSC, F3, Indy Lights etc. Mintex F2RDerived from the F1R compound, F2R offers the same broad threshold pedal feel and control but with less torque. Less torque does not equate to less power as F2R was formulated for those classes having high-speed, high-horsepower cars that do not derive high grip levels through aerodynamic downforce. The user can expect superior pedal feel with outstanding disc finish and exceptional pad life in operating temperatures found in the highest forms of racing. Race Proven in NASCAR applications will include NASCAR, Touring Car, Late Model, Trans Am, F-3, F-Atlantic etc. Mintex F4RThe F4R compound is slightly lower in overall friction to the F2R. It is however very easy to bed and is very user friendly making it suitable for club racing and light vehicle application. Fade resistant at temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees C. F4R offers a high level of pedal feel, high overall friction and stability over a broad range of temperatures with long pad life. Sedan, Saloon, Showroom stock, Light open wheel, Late model, Sport racing and Group N. Mintex F6RF6R was formulated to address specific applications needing medium to low torque with a high temperature threshold. These applications are almost all rear axle applications for front wheel drive and for live axle rear wheel drive applications. High heat tolerances with consistent repeatability were the two major requirements for this formulation. NASACAR, Endurance racing, Group N, Touring Cars etc.
